CP5000 + sunpak 4000AF problems? (en)

did anyone heard of any problems with CP5000 + Sunpak 4000AF combo?
(I'm wondering if I should buy the Sunpak Speedlight)

I have heard of one guy that connected Sunpak 4000AF to his CP950, and that Sunpak fried the flash circuits in the camera

many people in different places over the Internet advise not to use any non-Nikon speedlights with coolpix cameras..

The name of the sunpak speedlight you'll need is: "Sunpak Powerzoom 4000AF (NE)"

Notice the addition "NE" - This is the right one for your Nikon Camera (I used this one with my 5700).
