Also die beendeten Angebote in der Bucht sprechen eigentlich für einen Kauf (und nicht für einen Umbau) der Nikon Version. (um 50€ gebraucht)
Da wäre mir der Aufwand zu groß.

"The Vivitar Series 1 35-85/2.8 is a very well built push-pull zoom. It is a varifocal design, meaning that focus will shift during zooming - this allows the lens to be relatively compact. The front element is quite large - the lens takes 72mm filters - and it is also prone to flare - it is essential to use a hood with this lens or the images will come out as washed out. It was effectively impossible to use this lens in daylight until I could get a hood for it.
Bottom line - the Vivitar Series 1 35-85/2.8 lens has a great build, but the optical quality does not live up to its "cult lens" status."

It doesn't seem especially sharp wide open, although it's certainly usable. From pure empirical looks at my own pics I'd say the Tamron SP35-80 edges it on sharpness every which way. Like most lenses it improves stopped down.
It is quite prone to that fuzzy purple fringing/halo thing on small highlights used wide open, which gives the impression of more softness than is maybe actually there; again this gets better stopped down.
The bokeh quality varies wildly depending on focal length and aperture - good bokeh's not something you'd necessarily be buying a zoom for, but you might hope for it in a fast one. It's worst at 35mm wide open, quite truly distracting and hideous, but really not too bad when it's stopped down or moved out towards 85mm. "
