Aus der "Gerüchteküche" bei dpreview bzw digitalcamera.de - so könnte er aussehen wenn man "angeblichen Insiderinfos" glauben darf:

Coolpix7400 to be announced before end of Sept. 2004 :-
- CCD : 1/8 in 7 Mega pixel (i.e. similar to Canon & Sony’s latest models)
- Lens : 4x zoom starting at 28mm (i.e. similar to existing 5400)
- Almost instant startup.
- Very fast AF & very short shutter lag.
- Improved continuous mode : 3 fps up to 12 frames max.

- First Coolpix with “full function” flash hot shoe : D-TTL, Zoom Control & Infra red focus assist.
- 2” high-resolution LCD (200,000 pixels)

- Focus assist light (Built-in : White light; can also use Infra Red with External flash as mentioned above !!!)

- Dimension, Body & Color : very similar to 5400, black semi-metal/plastic body but a bit smaller & lighter.

der Name / Zoom ist strittig, uU könnte es ein größerer Bereich werden, etwa 28-133mm und dann als 7500?!

Letztendlich ist die Quelle der Gerüchte unbekannt, aber es liegt nahe das Nikon was in der Richtung bringt, ich hatte ja schon vor 4 Wochen entsprechend spukuliert hier...

Die schreiben da auch was von Infarot- Assistent für den focus. Ich dachte immer, Infarot als Hilfe für den Focus funktioniert nicht mit Digitalkameras.
Da bin ich ja echt gespannt.
