Samyang Optics 50mm F1.4 AS UMC is a standard manual focus photo lens designed for full frame image sensor.
Optical Features
Samyang 50mm F1.4 AS UMC is a manual focus lens with a low F number. You may control the lens precisely when shooting under various exposure environment including relatively dark or too bright situations.
This lens features 9 lenses in 6 groups including 1 glass aspherical lens (ASP), and 1 hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP) to offer high resolution. Especially, H-ASP minimizes color aberration to realize exceptional image quality and high contrast for center and corner of image even when aperture is fully opened. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology of Samyang Optics optimizes the light penetration and minimizes flare and ghost. With such optical construction, it has 0.45m of minimum focal length to take photos of subjects in near distance.
Hardware Features
There are 8 aperture blades designed to be almost as a full circle when aperture is closed which expresses starlike ray clearly and beautifully. The frame of the lens is compact and solid since it is made of high-strength aluminum alloy so you can create trustworthy images. Also, detachable petal-shaped lens hood minimizes flare and ghost by sheltering lens from unnecessary lights.
Available for 10 camera mounts: Canon, Canon M, Nikon, Pentax, Sony ∝, Sony E, Fujifilm X, Samsung NX, Four-Thirds, MFT.

exakt meine erste Assoziation als ich die Pressemitteilung gelesen hatte. Und als zweites kam mir der Gedanke, dass Samyang ansonsten immer ein gutes Näschen hatte in entweder unbesetzte oder eben nur teuer besetzte Lücken zu stossen.donholg hat geschrieben:Das gefühlt 100te 50er am Markt...
Die würde ich im Bereich 50mm weniger bei f1.4 Normallinse sondern bei f2 Makro verorten. Bei einer solchen Ankündigung wäre ich hellhörig geworden.

Ich denke, das wird wirklich gut werden. Da steht überall was von gut 480 Pfund, also ungefähr 600 Euro und das ist schon ein recht krasser Preis!
Das 85er war damals sehr günstig, leider haben sie dann das Geschäft gewittert
Über die Jahre wird sich hier wohl ein Zeiss-Konkurrent aufbauen und auch stetig die Preise anziehen. Sie können ja scheinbar für gut 300 Euro das 85er herstellen. Die nächste Variante hat dann noch eben ein Metallgehäuse und dann sind wir auch bei 800 Euro.
Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass als nächstes ein Makro um die 100mm kommt. Danach lechzen doch alle
Da macht MF ja auch noch Sinn. Ein richtiges Tele stelle ich mir eher nicht vor, wobei ich persönlich was um die 200-300mm schon sehr interessant finden würde...
